Funding from the Center for Work and Democracy comes primarily from the support of union members and is supplemented by donations and research grants, rather than relying on the Arizona State legislature. Research done by the Center is funded by workers to support workers.

Service Employees International Union– United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW) is a healthcare justice union of more than 100,000 healthcare workers, patients, and healthcare consumers united to ensure affordable, accessible, high-quality care for all Californians, provided by valued and respected healthcare workers.

SEIU-UHW is one of the Center’s primary union funders.
