Making a difference together
Funding from the Center for Work and Democracy comes primarily from the support of union members and is supplemented by donations and research grants, rather than relying on the Arizona State legislature. Research done by the Center is funded by workers to support workers.

The Fairness Project
The Fairness Project, created in 2015, promotes economic and social justice across the United States through the creation and funding of citizen-run ballot initiative campaigns.

The Labor Center at UMASS Amherst.
United Healthcare Workers West
Service Employees International Union– United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW) is a healthcare justice union of more than 100,000 healthcare workers, patients, and healthcare consumers united to ensure affordable, accessible, high-quality care for all Californians, provided by valued and respected healthcare workers.
SEIU-UHW is one of the Center’s primary union funders.
George Floyd Global Memorial
The George Floyd Global Memorial (GFGM) was created to conserve stories of resistance to racial injustice and to curate spaces for all people to grieve, pay respect, and be a voice for justice. Their vision is to bring community development in Minneapolis and inspire people to pursue racial justice around the world.
Healthcare Rising Arizona
Healthcare Rising Arizona is a membership organization of everyday Arizonans– patients and caregivers; family, friends, and neighbors– dedicated to improving their standard of health and living.
