This two-day event features panelists and speakers across organizing, activism, and academia as we discuss the state of worker power and economic democracy in the United States today. 

The conference runs from Friday, February 23 through Saturday, February 24, 2024.

About Our Keynotes

Joining our lineup of brilliant speakers, Kim Kelly, Kali Akuno, and Matt Meyer will give keynote addresses during this two-day conference. Kim Kelly is an independent journalist, author, and organizer whose writing has been featured in numerous big-name publications. Her book Fight Like Hell: the Untold History of American Labor was published in 2022. Kali Akuno is co-founder and co-director of Cooperation Jackson-- one of the most ambitious efforts to build a solidarity economy in decades-- in addition to his extensive work in human rights. Akuno is a co-editor of Jackson Rising Redux: Lessons on Building the Future and the Present alongside our final keynote speaker, Matt Meyer. Matt Meyer is an internationally recognized author, academic, organizer, and educator who was recently re-elected Secretary General of the International Peace Research Association (IPRA).
